The Guangtong Station of the West Yunnan Railway has been upgraded and renovated, and its cargo transportation capacity has been significantly enhanced. It is located in Guangtong Town, Lufeng City, Chuxiong Prefecture, Yunnan ProvincespinbountynodepositbonusGuangtong Railway Station was originally the main white sugar transportation and distribution center in Yunnan. With the development of economy and society, existing facilities and transportation capacity are gradually unable to meet the needs of modern logistics. China Railway Kunming Bureau Group Co., Ltd. decided to comprehensively upgrade it. Kunming Railway Yuheng Company teamed up with China Railway Electrification Bureau to invest more than 500 professionals and more than 30 construction machinery to carry out construction in stages. The project team adopted the "driving while building" plan to ensure the normal operation of trains during construction. At present, the quality improvement and transformation of Guangtong Station has been basically completed. The number of arrival-departure lines has been increased from 9 to 10, the number of shunting lines has been increased from 5 to 10, and the small-capacity "hump" train formation function has been added.
